e-Skills Week 2012 – Israel
Israel faces many challenges regarding the capacitation of its human resources so they are able to cope living in a knowledge society in which e-skills are required in every sphere of life. A variety of programs initiated both by governmental and civil society institution seek to confront this issue. The Israel economy and society also have had significant achievements best expressed lately in the concept of “Start-up Nation”. Adapting the Education System to the 21st Century – The National Plan
Since the 2010-2011 academic year, the Ministry of Education through the Administration for Science and Technology has run an innovative program to adapt the education system to the 21st century.
The goal of the program to adapt the education system to the 21st century is to lead to the sustainable implementation of innovative pedagogies in the schools, while integrating information and communication technologies (ICT) in their support.
